201303 Service

My temp has been growing steadily over the last few months. It used to sit at 320F@100.... then 340F... then 360F... now 360F@90. The highwayman only made a temporary dint in the climb.

I am doing an Easter engine clean (+ scan and port timing measurement while I am at it) to see if that fixes it. So far it looks rich (so no air leaks), probably the carbon build up is causing it. I wondering also though if the Trailtech TTO CHT is going out of calibration - I have been told they only last 6 months to a year.

Speedo 42,158 + 1,728 = 43,866

Completed

• • cleaned carbon off head and piston

  • gapped sparkplug to 0.6 mm

  • made new aluminium gasket for exhaust flange

  • changed oil

Also scanned Pinasco barrel and measured port timing (will put details up later)

Next see if temp has dropped - if it hasn't I will try out a new sensor
